ISIS Performance at Formula DRIFT New Jersey
After a positive outing in the ISIS Performance Parts/Enjuku Racing S14 at Road Atlanta, drifter 2007 Nopi Drift Champion Bill Sherman was looking forward to additional seat time in the vehicle. "I knew the car would be fully capable of competing with the best of the best, it was just a matter of more seat time and getting used to the machine," said Sherman. So ISIS Performance made the trek up to Wall, New Jersey for the third round of Formula DRIFT where the team anticipated even more positive results.

Given the different track conditions and layout compared to Road Atlanta, Sherman was almost back to square one with the ISIS Performance S14, relearning the vehicle with very little seat time outside its prior competition qualifying. But he was determined to make the Top 32 Tandem competition and after a few runs in practice, he was able to gain better control of the car. "It took a few runs, but I was able to come in hot and scrape the wall allowing me to qualify 26th."

With every practice and qualifying run, the crowd started falling in love with the Super Charged V8-powered Nissan S14. Round one of tandem competition would pit Sherman against 2009 Formula D champion Chris Forsberg in the NOS Energy Drink Nissan 350Z Convertible. Sherman’s comfort in tandem battles really shown through as he lit up the Cooper RS3 Tires to a one more time. But that wasn’t enough, as the crowd continued to go wild and the judges had a difficult time deliberating, another one more time was called. After two "one more time" battles against the 2009 champ, the judges had to make a decision and it went Forsberg’s way. Even though the team was surely disappointed in the outcome, the crowd was definitely on ISIS Performance’s side when the decision was made, the entire crowd Booed the decision.

With two events now under their belt, Bill Sherman looks forward to continuing competing with the ISIS Performance S14. "I have just been super impressed with this car, the ISIS Suspension is great and the grip of these new Cooper RS3 Drift Tires is amazing" Said Sherman. "With the budget that was set aside in building the car, we are very pleased with how well it has performed in competition," said Ken Harrison of Enjuku Racing. "The aid of tested and proven parts from ISIS Performance at an affordable price has made all the difference."
